Truth or Lie?

Often, we think about what we are told and if it is a lie or the truth, but we need to focus on who the messenger is. For example, Satan told Eve that she would not die if she ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, but she did in fact die and Satan did lie. He is a liar and we cannot believe what he says.

God says that if you give a cup of cold water to a little one... you will receive a reward - yes.

Believe me, we are judged on our deeds and God looks at our actions, not our appearance.

Matthew 10:42
Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward."

Often, people wonder what this means. Well, we know that Satan is a liar and his desire is to harm us. Notice that he has been hurting the earth for thousands of years. However, his time is almost up. God wants to see what we are doing and how we treat those around us.

Therefore, when you wonder if something is a lie or the truth, consider the source. Basically, you need to know who the messenger is.

Theft

Having something stolen is a pain.

For example, someone took my Apple laptop from me. I have some idea who that someone is. However, there is no proof and I am not 100% sure. That said, we do not enjoy living in a world where theft is common. Robbers just take our stuff and it is gone. I wish we could be in Paradise, where there is no stealing of our products or services.

God says we should not store up treasure here on earth where crooks break in. Instead, we should store up treasure in heaven where such things do not occur.

Matthew 6:19-21
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Often I wonder about the Apple logo and the tree of knowledge: the parallels are many. Maybe, I should not use an apple computer. Do you know that the original Apple computer was sold for $666.66?

This is true, but remember that we should always strive to do the will of God, so let us stop sinning.
