People Lose Jobs

Anchorman Rick Sanchez was fired from CNN news this month. He had worked there many years. The position seemed to be secure. However, some comments he made angered the owners. Rick Sanchez said that the Jews control the media. Even though he did back track on his comments and did apologize, he was gone.

Last year Oprah was pushed out and she was seen crying. It was not her decision to leave so soon.

This year, many people have lost their jobs. Others have been forced to take cuts in pay. Many are working less hours than last year.

People worry about how they will pay their bills. If they can fire a media star that brings in high ratings over a careless comment then no one is secure.

On a more personal level my post man was let go. The government simply does not have enough money. They could not pay him even though he had worked for the post office so many years.

A local hospital is letting go of pharmacists, doctors, and nurses. People still get sick, but there are less people to look after them.

This is so a few executives can make more money. Executives are always trying to cut corners. Those who suffer are the working people.

Sadly, there are many politicians that do not care if people lose jobs. Just look at who is killing jobs now. There are programs getting cut.

We do not need to worry. God is our security. We all know that one day we will die, but God provides for us.

God Provides For Us

God provides for us. Christ tells us:

Matt 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

This tells us that our heavenly father cares. All we need to do is ask him and have faith. He is all powerful. There is nothing that happens anywhere in the universe he is not aware of. Prayer is very powerful.

In the book of Job we see God asking Job who takes care of the ravens. In Psalms we read of God looking out for the birds again.

Psalms 147:9 He giveth to the beast his food, [and] to the young ravens which cry.

God looks out for us. We are his children after all. Therefore we need not live in fear of being fired, for the almighty is our refuge. If we lose a job, He can find a better one for us.

Christ says.

Matt 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

Let us not despair, for our Lord does care. Please read our file Paradise to see what God has in store for us.
