Peace?

England wished to avoid another terrible war. Back in WWI  they had just lost close to a million men. Also, we know that they were still in the middle of the Great Depression from which they were desperately trying to recover. Let me tell you - wars are expensive. They had elected a man of peace. Neville Chamberlain wanted to avoid war. He signed a peace treaty with Hitler - big mistake. Sadly, we know that Hitler did not want peace. Instead, he wanted to tear England into little pieces.

Christ says:

Matthew 10:34
Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Fellows, I will not lie to you. Right now we are in a war. It is good against evil, and the prize is our universe. Battle we must, and with evil we must make no compromises.

Often we are told to give in. I say no. Fight on to victory against sin. Oh yes, it will certainly not be an easy war. Still, we know that with God's help we can win.

Don't give in

Back in the 40's the world learned what happens when you refuse to fight and try at all costs to attain peace. Few know that we almost lost WWII and it was a miracle that we even won. History books are written by the winners. Still, we must realize that we came really close to a dark world ruled by dictators.

Neville said - This is a sad day for all of us, and to none is it sadder than to me. Everything that I have worked for, everything that I have hoped for, everything that I have believed in during my public life, has crashed into ruins.

Well, that is what happens when we refuse to fight a bully, but rather instead give in. Do not become an appeaser. Bullies are emboldened by our lack of courage. Please remember to always fight on.

Chamberlain was an appeaser. He met with Hitler to pursue peace. Sadly, we should never compromise with bullies, and he lived to see what a disaster his policies were.

Winston Churchill knew what manner of man Hitler was. People did not listen to his warnings. Frankly, we know that England was not prepared to go to war.

I believe that divine intervention was necessary. May the all powerful have mercy on us.

Do expect people to become critical of you. After all, that is so easy. Battles do require resources. It is not just money. Frankly, you must expend a lot of energy.

Right now we also face a maximum crisis. Do pray that God Almighty will give us the wisdom that we need to survive. Certainly, a hard rain is ahead of us. The black clouds are forming and I hear thunderclaps from far away. Please prepare yourselves for what is coming.
