Social Media

Social media is a major time sink and wastes our scarce energy. Actually, it is sometimes better to shut up. People are more approachable in a face to face manner.

God says that we will all be judged on every idle word we say.

Matthew 12:36
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Talking a lot can lead us to commit serious sins.

Proverbs 10:19
When there are many words, sin is unavoidable, but the one who controls his lips is wise.

Hard work, not HARD WORDS, is the key to our ongoing success. Also, we must remember that wise men shut up. Oh yes, as a fool's words are many.

Ecclesiastes 5:3
For dreams result from much work and a fool's voice from many words.

Try to refrain from wasting time in the various social media services. Instead, try to build a better world now.

Internet

The internet as a waste of our precious resource - TIME - is massive. Most of us have better things to ponder on. Well, I do sound like a hypocrite because I am on it a lot, but the truth be told, we need to find better things to work on.

I still remember getting on a crowded bus and people were all busy on their cell phones playing games. The situation in coming years is even more worrisome. Yesterday, I almost had a serious automobile accident with a woman that was chatting on her cell phone when she ran a red light and nearly crashed into me.

Thank you God for protecting me. Please continue to do so.

Not paying attention can have serious even FATAL consequences. All these wasted lives and wasted hours do add up.

Basically, drivers need to employ full attention to what they are doing, or they can experience a negative out come. This fact should surprise no one. I believe that many "accidents" are due to people looking at their cellular telephone instead of the environment that is around us.

Distracted driving causes thousands of needless deaths every year. Road safety is a serious issue. Actually, more legislation is not the answer. What we do need is greater awareness.
