Duty

What do we need to do to please God?

John 14:14-15
If you ask Me for anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

A lot of people claim that they have asked things from God and He did not do it for them, but do they really have a relationship with the all powerful one?

John 9:31
We know that God does not hear sinners. However, if any one is a God-fearing man, and obeys Him, to him He listens.

The holy Bible warns us. It is important that we obey God, so that He will listen to us. Please do understand that most people are sinners. God want us to repent and turn away from sin.

Luke 16:23-25
In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham from afar, with Lazarus by his side. So he cried out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. For I am in agony in this fire.’ But Abraham answered, ‘Child, remember that during your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things. But now he is comforted here, while you are in agony.

Christ tells us this story so we do not look at the rich with envy. They had plenty of chances to help the poor. Instead, they did zero.

There were a lot of lavish parties at the house of the rich man. He did not give Lazarus the crumbs that fell from the table even. Please God, help us to strive to do better with the lot you have given us.

When I was six, I said that when I grew up... I would buy a candy store and eat all the candy, also, a comic book store and read all the comics. Funny how our values changes as we grow wiser.

God can take us to Paradise and we can dwell with Him in heaven.

Church

People do not go to church like they did years ago. Often, these backsliders are full of excuses. Well, I remember that last year people claimed that the church was full of hypocrites and all the leaders want is our money. The year before last it was corona virus. Sadly, there will always be more excuses.

God can see that a lot of these latter day laggards who use to attend church have slowly drifted away. They no longer care. I believe that regular attendance helps us.

Meeting other people who believe in the all powerful one strengthens us. When I am down, they can encourage me.

However, it is important that we not forget to help other people who are in the body of Christ when they need assistance from us. Please do understand that we will need each other more as we enter a new difficult dark era.

Think of it this way. We can read many textbooks and learn important topics on our own. However, it does help us to attend regular classes in a college campus.

Studying with other students in class is a plus and being home all alone a minus. Do plan to spend a lot of time studying the Holy Bible and learning what God has to say.

Isaiah 11:9
They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover our sea.
