Be More Interactive

was in church today and the pastor said religion should be more interactive, because he stands and preaches, but it is all one way. Basically, this was his message. He wants to create an app. That way members of the church can respond to what he is saying.

Obviously, people in the church started asking questions about how they would use the app. For example, what types of phones could they use?

Folks, the solution is not a little computer program. What we need to do is renew what the church is. All of us should have some small contribution in the shared common experience. I do not think the solution is creating a new app.

Instead we should find ways for people to meet in small groups. They can then respond to the pastor and he can find new answers.

What we need is for people to speak with each other - one on one. The silence in the church would go away. However, we would have a lot more interaction. Actually, this would be great for all of us. Right now we sit in church pews. Often, we have questions, but we say zero. Well, this should go away. People need to learn more. Think of how students ask teachers questions in a crowded classroom. It can get noisy. Small class sizes help students as the teacher has more time to spend with each person.

However, this will change in the future as we see what God tells us.

God Says

God says that in the future you will not teach your brother for all will know God and the knowledge will be as the waters cover the sea.

Habakkuk 2:14
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover our sea.

Preachers will exist no more. They will not be necessary. Look at the next two bible verses.

Jeremiah 31:33-34
"But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days," declares the LORD, "I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares the LORD, "for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."

I look forward to living in this glorious age.
